Worship at St. Thomas’ |
|
Our parish church building is simple but dignified, designed to bring people together for prayer, praise and fellowship.
We follow the teaching, rules, and liturgy of the Episcopal Church. Liturgy is defined as the order for the celebration and administration of Holy Communion. It also includes various services of the church gathered together in the Book of Common Prayer. The book evolved in the middle of the 16th century, compiled and revised from older liturgies that can be traced back the Apostles. We strive to express our worship of God in ways that speak to and express the hearts of people today.
We use the Rite I service at 8:30 and the Rite II service at 10:30. The Hymnal is used for the music at this service. Healing Services are held the fifth Sunday of the month. Children’s services are held the second Sunday and though they use the traditional service they tend to be a little more informal and use more contemporary music. |
